Terms of Use

By accessing or using Her Galaxy Universe (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Her Galaxy Universe (the "Service"), operated from the United Kingdom.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any change. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

Her Galaxy uses a two-layer security model to protect every member.

Layer 1 — Verification (required to join):

• You must provide a valid email address
• You must provide a UK mobile number you can receive an SMS verification code on
• You must create a strong password (8+ characters)
• You must agree to these Terms and confirm you meet the eligibility requirements

Layer 2 — Anonymous identity (visible to others):

• You choose a Galaxy Name — any name you want, real or invented
• Your Galaxy Name is the only thing other members ever see
• Your email, phone number, and password are encrypted and never shown to anyone

Account responsibilities:

• You must use a valid email and phone you have legitimate access to
• You must keep your password confidential and notify us immediately if compromised
• You may have only one account at a time
• You may not share your account with anyone else
• You may not transfer or sell your account

If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, email us immediately at support@hergalaxyuniverse.co.uk.

Her Galaxy Universe is two communities — one for women aged 18 and over (Her Galaxy UK), and one for teen girls aged 15 to 17 (Teen Universe). By signing up, you confirm:

• You are aged 15 or over
• You identify as a woman or girl
• If you are aged 15–17, you understand Teen Universe is the appropriate space for you (not Her Galaxy UK)
• You are not a registered sex offender
• You have not been previously banned from the Platform

This is a women-only space. People who do not identify as women, or who are not yet 15 years old, may not use the Platform. We take misuse seriously and will permanently ban accounts that violate this requirement.

Children under 13 are explicitly not permitted on the Platform under any circumstances, in line with UK law and ICO guidance for online services.

You may use Her Galaxy Universe to:

• Connect with other verified members in good faith
• Share your own experiences, struggles, and wins under your Galaxy Name
• Use the AI features for personal reflection and support
• Track your wellness, goals, and personal growth
• Access safety and crisis resources

You agree to use the Platform with respect for others, with honesty about who you are within the eligibility requirements (women 18+ or teen girls 15–17), and without harming the experience of other members.

Anything you post, share, or create on Her Galaxy Universe ("User Content") remains your intellectual property. By posting it, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display it within the Platform for the purpose of providing the Service.

You retain the right to:

• Edit or delete your User Content at any time
• Request permanent deletion when you close your account
• Have your content removed from public view (within 30 days of deletion request)

You confirm that User Content you post:

• Belongs to you or you have permission to share it
• Does not infringe anyone else's rights
• Is not unlawful, harmful, or in breach of these Terms

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe could cause harm to the community.

Galaxy Guide and Stella are AI-powered features designed to provide reflection, peer support-style conversation, and gentle guidance. They are not:

• Mental health professionals
• Medical practitioners
• Legal advisors
• Replacements for human support
• Replacements for emergency services

Information from AI features is for general educational and supportive purposes only. If you are experiencing a crisis, please call 999 in an emergency or contact one of the helplines listed throughout the Platform.

You agree that you will not:

• Use AI features to attempt to harm yourself or others
• Treat AI conversations as a replacement for professional medical, legal, or therapeutic advice
• Share the AI's responses without context
• Attempt to manipulate or jailbreak the AI for harmful purposes

AI conversations are not stored after your session ends. They are processed by Anthropic, our AI provider, under their commercial data terms. See our Privacy Policy for details.

We may suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate your account if:

• You breach these Terms or engage in any prohibited conduct (Section 5)
• You attempt to harm other members or the Platform itself
• We reasonably believe your account was created for abuse or fraud
• Your verification details are found to be false or fraudulent
• You repeatedly ignore moderator warnings
• You are required to be removed by UK law or court order

For minor breaches, we will normally try to issue a warning first and explain what needs to change. For serious breaches (such as harassment, sexual harassment of minors, hate speech, or false identity at signup), we will suspend without warning.

Ban evasion: If your account is permanently terminated, attempting to create a new account using a different email, phone, or device is itself a breach of these Terms. We retain the email and phone hashes of banned accounts (for up to 5 years) to prevent re-registration.

You can close your account at any time by emailing support@hergalaxyuniverse.co.uk. We will action this within 30 days, and your verification details will be permanently deleted (except where retention is legally required).

Her Galaxy Universe is not a medical, psychiatric, or legal service. None of the features, including AI features, peer circles, wellness tracking, or community advice, constitute professional medical, psychological, or legal advice.

If you are experiencing:

• A mental health crisis — call NHS 111 or Samaritans on 116 123
• An immediate emergency — call 999
• A health concern — speak to your GP
• A legal issue — consult a qualified solicitor

The Platform offers community support, education, and tools — but always defer to qualified professionals for medical, mental health, or legal decisions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Her Galaxy Universe and its operators shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, opportunity, or reputation arising from use of the Platform
• Decisions you make based on community content or AI responses
• Actions of other users
• Service interruptions, downtime, or technical failures

This does not limit our liability for:

• Death or personal injury caused by negligence
• Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
• Anything else that cannot be excluded under UK law

The Platform is provided "as is." We do our best to maintain uptime and quality, but we make no specific warranties about availability or fitness for any particular purpose.

The Platform — including its design, code, branding, content (other than User Content), and underlying systems — is owned by Her Galaxy Universe or licensed to it. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute Platform code or content
• Reverse engineer or attempt to access source code
• Use the Her Galaxy or Teen Universe branding without permission
• Scrape or systematically harvest data from the Platform

Use of the Platform does not grant you any ownership rights in the Service or its branding.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a UK consumer, this does not affect any rights you have that cannot be excluded by law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
